I am a Believer…

In Allah, and Rasullulah,
I am a believer.
The message of Islam, he was a receiver,
passing on the message, indeed he was an achiever.
For those diseased hearts and minds he was the reliever.
In Allah, and the Day of Resurrection,
I am a believer.
A day where the world will fall in destruction.
Some by Allahs will, will have protection,
while others will stand in remorse due to rejection.
Affection, deeds reflection, minds with infection,
I just hope I’ll be those of perfection.
In Allah, and the Quran,
I am a believer.
In this book it warns Insan,
Read by many,
whether they be in Canada, Zimbabwe, or Japan.
Recited with tajweed, by a child, beautiful lady,
and even a old man.
In Allah, and Destiny,
I am a believer.
Whether I’m hit with brutality, abnormality, or even reality.
It happens cuz its my Destiny.
In Allah, and Death,
I am a believer.
Death, doesn’t know, age, time, place,
or even wealth, and your status of health.
It comes and snatches away your breath.
In Allah, and the veil,
I am a believer.
To unveil,
is to put yourself on the scale,
for a man to look at you into detail,
maybe him and his friends have an auction sale,
because in respect given and received, you guys both fail.
In Allah, and Power.
I am a believer.
He almighty has the full power,
whether it’s me picking up a flower, turning on the shower,
or even building a high tower.
He with his will can completely devour.
In Allah, and Prayer,
I am a believer.
By Allah, I swear,
to not pray to him is unfair.
For everything we have he already prepared,
our lives he did spare.
In Allah, and all his creations,
I am a believer.
For my sins result from combinations of,
temptations, frustrations, conversations, and invocations.
But my good deeds result from,
my determination to get to my ultimate destination.

Emotional Journey

TITLE: An Emotional Journey Back

The goal is to live in this world, as if I’m a passing traveler
Between my deen and my dunya, I strive to be a balancer
Put my fate in the one and only, who is the divine handler

I try my best each day, to remember the Sirat-al-Mustaqim
To fall out of heedlessness, and the illusions of a false dream
I seek only to be sitting in jannah, beside a beautiful stream

Make du’ah every day, to remain on the straight path
To seek Allah’s love, forgiveness, and to fear his wrath
I beg like a child, for all that’s under my wishing cap

Along the way there are times, I may fall in a trap
So I keep close to me, the Holy Qur’an like a strap
Make wudu to cleanse my sins, through a water tap

People are unjust here; they cheat and they deceive
But I know these are tests from my Lord, that I must receive
So I take a deep breath, and say alhamdu-lillahi-rabbil-alamin

Rumi says there is hidden mercy in suffering
But these painful thoughts; they are hovering
May Allah forgive me, for what I am not covering – Ameen
