Brotherhood

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The Muslim is the brother of his fellow Muslim; he does not wrong him or let him down. The one who meets the needs of his brother, Allah will meet his needs. Whoever relieves a Muslim of distress, Allah will relieve him of distress on the Day of Resurrection.”

You’ll Never Lose money

When was the last time you donated in charity?

In Ramadan, many of us strive in contributing to noble causes, on a daily
basis, because we know that the reward of doing good deeds are magnified
in Ramadan. Charity is one of the acts which is often forgotten and
neglected. Many times we have the sincere intention to give, but delay it
to ‘later’…unfortunately in many cases, ‘later’ often never comes. It’s even
has happened to me.

If you haven’t already done so, commit to making a weekly contribution
to a local Masjid, Islamic school, orphanage or any other Islamic project
where your assistance is needed. Sometimes we tend to hesitate to give
because we feel like we do not have enough for ourselves and our families,
let alone the community. However bear in mind:

The Prophet Sallahu ‘alayhi wa salaam said, “Wealth is never diminished
by giving sadaqah.” [Bukhari]

So don’t despair and commit to making a small contribution today whether
small or big.

Those who spend their wealth [in Allah’s way] by night and by day, secretly
and publicly – they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear
will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. [Al-Baqarah: 274]

Here’s a Tip: The opportunity to give charity may rarely come up to you
openly and sometimes when the opportunity does arise, one does not have
the money or time to do so right at that very moment. Automating your
contributions by signing up with a trusted organization to take monthly
preauthorized withdrawals for Sadaqah is one way to ensure that you are
notmissing out all the time. And any other time you do give charity it will
simply be a bonus on top of whatever you are already giving.

May Allah ‘azza wa jall put barakah into your wealth.
